In agricultural markets, futures prices are often much different than cash market prices. The explanation is that arbitrage between the futures and cash markets is more difficult (agricultural products are harder to store and can spoil) or even impossible. Next year’s harvest cannot be consumed today.
For that reason charts under the Futures heading should only be used for analyzing the futures market, the seasonality of the futures market is definitive for trading the futures markets.
